About the owner, Morgan
Born and raised in Tacoma, Washington, I’ve always been an active person, participating in sports like rowing, CrossFit, and distance running. For years, I believed that pain was just part of a "good" workout—until injuries became a regular part of my routine. After years of schlepping two small humans around, I found myself feeling weaker, with worsening posture and core strength. That’s when I turned to private Pilates sessions, and for the first time, I left each workout feeling stronger, more balanced, and truly connected to my body—without the pain I once thought was necessary.
In 2024, I found myself at a major career crossroads, faced with the choice to continue on a corporate path or take a leap toward something more meaningful. I chose the leap. As I deepened my Pilates practice, I realized that this method wasn’t just about fitness—it was about feeling good, both physically and mentally. With that in mind, I founded Hummingbird Studios to create a space where others can experience the same sense of strength, balance, and peace that Pilates has given me. Whether you're starting fresh or looking for a mindful movement practice, I hope to help guide you toward feeling your best—inside and outside the studio.
